About the Coalition for Multicultural Justice

The Coalition for Multicultural Justice (CMJ) is one of six networks within the Standing Committee for Multicultural Affairs (CMA) within the American College Personnel Association (ACPA). CMA serves as a liaison to ACPA's leadership, focusing attention on issues in education as well as the trends which affect ethnic students and professionals in the College Student Personnel field.

Specifically, CMA is composed of six singular networks: Asian Pacific American, Latin@, Native American, Multiracial, and Pan African, and the Coalition for Multicultural Justice. All six networks work collectively to promote diversity within ACPA. CMA is a nationally visible and action-oriented group that addresses the changing cultural dynamics within higher education institutions and works to create multicultural strategies and solutions.

The Coalition for Multicultural Justice’s mission is to provide a collaborative home for student affairs professionals working in the areas of diversity, multiculturalism, and social justice, irrespective of social group identity or student affairs functional areas.
