The Yates Gallery
is named in memory of Anita Pohndorff Yates, who was born in London
in 1914 and died in 1991. The Yates Gallery was established in
a room in St. Francis House in 1993 through a generous donation of
funds by her husband, Harry D. Yates (1903-1996), who was a Trustee
of Siena College (1972-1976) and a recipient of the Honorary Degree
of Doctor of Humane Letters. The Yates Gallery was moved to
the J. Spencer & Patricia Standish Library when it opened in
1999. |
